Community Service Project - Senior Government

SAP

Seniors may complete the Students Activity Project (Community Service) in lieu of the Final Exam in Government. Students must score at least a 75% to meet the requirement.

Home: Welcome

Student Activity Project

2018-2019

  • SAP will be completed by every senior during their senior year at Lincoln H.S.

  • It is intended to support your grade and allow each student to make observations about government and the role of government outside the classroom.

  • SAP requires each student to complete 6 community service projects and attend one meeting. All service projects and meetings are arranged by your instructors.

  • Each activity will count 10 points and the final paper will count 30 points.

  • Consequently, SAP will count 1/10th of your grade, the same as a midterm or final exam.

  • Students scoring a 75 or better will be exempt from the Final Exam.

Reading Buddies @ Gahanna branch Library

Gahanna Library Branch

Reading Buddies pairs volunteer mentors with Kindergarten through 3rd Grade children for 15 minute reading sessions.  Our focus is to help students prepare to pass the grade 3 English language arts test by giving them an opportunity to practice their reading skills with a mentor.  Children are expected to do a majority of the reading while mentors listen, assist with tough words or difficult passages, ask comprehension questions and help the students gain confidence in their reading.
